Individual therapy, couples counseling and family therapy is available. Group therapy is also a treatment option given the current needs of the clients and the community. Meredith Wood honors the diversity of individuals, couples, families and the community.

Meredith Wood can offer assistance in enhancing an individual’s way of being in a relationship with themselves, their partners, their families and the world they live in.

Family psychotherapy can provide a safe atmosphere in which family members can overcome obstacles, experience growth and healing while creating opportunities for connection, understanding and joy.

Collaboratively, the client and Meredith Wood will explore the reasons for entering treatment and will determine the treatment option that is best suited to their needs.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

  • Individual Therapy: A person may choose to work on their relationship difficulties, an adolescent can find a safe place to talk, parents can receive education and support. Individual therapy is the most common modality. Many/most issues are appropriate for individual therapy.
  • Family Therapy: A systemic, relational approach allows individuals to explore family dynamics and address issues that affect each member and the family as a whole. LGBTQIA families are welcome. When it is not appropriate to include family members a person can enter individual therapy.
  • Conjoint/Couple Counseling: This includes pre-marital and maritial counseling/domestic partnership, and co-parenting after separation/divorce.
  • Group Therapy: Within a group, an individual has the opportunity to meet others with similar issues, increase their level of education, understanding and compasstion, explore relational/familial relationships, and experience a perspective different from their own.

  • Moving Through Grief: a supportive group for those experiencing loss

The groups currently available are based on the needs of the clients and the community.

  • If you choose to not utilize insurance-payment is due at the time of service NO EXCEPTIONS. The No Suprises Act (NSA) (1/2022) will not change anything about the psychotherapy services you receive.
  • The NSA requires 1. All providers must notify all Self Pay Clients of their right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the cost of any treatment 2. Provide clients a GFE both orally and in writing at the time of scheduling or when requested by the client. The GFE will be provided when scheduling an initial psychotherapy session and is included in the Intake Paperwork provided by The Therapy Office of Meredith Wood, MA, LMFT.
