Meredith Wood views herself as a co-pilot, a co-facilitator on a client’s journey of self-exploration, insight, growth and change. Engaging in a safe therapeutic relationship can allow a client to heal old wounds, re-discover their strengths, revive passion, spark creativity, and re-awaken joy.
When beginning psychotherapy, Meredith Wood and her clients collaboratively develop a treatment plan to meet their unique needs. During psychotherapy it is common to address a variety of emotions.
Meredith Wood believes in the healing power of telling one’s story and assists clients in re-authoring their lives.
Meredith Wood stresses the importance of healthy relationships and practicing self-care.
There doesn’t need to be something “wrong” to enter therapy. It is often the case that a client does not seek out therapy with a specific problem to solve. It is okay to be unsure of where to begin. Therapy can provide a client with a safe place in which to explore their relationship with themselves, others and the environment they live in.
Looking for a psychotherapist is an important and personal process.
Please feel free to contact Meredith Wood, L.M.F.T. with any questions you may have.
